Job Description

String Repair Technician (Apprenticeship)

Cassandra Strings is currently seeking Full-Time string repair technician that has an interest in assisting with Orchestral String Instrument Repairs. The job would entail inspection,set-up, and minor repairs. We are a full range orchestral strings dealer (violin, viola, cello, bass), from student to master level instruments and offer a complete in-house repair shop.

Job Description

The String repair position will be responsible for various duties, including but not limited to:

  • New instrument inspection and set-up

  • Student level instrument repair and restoration

  • Inventory control of rental fleet

Qualified applicants should have the following skills and experience:

  • Ability to play violin, viola, cello or bass

  • Strong work ethic with focus on customer service and quality control

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended period of time, must be able to lift over 20lbs

  • Ability to accomplish tasks with minimum supervision

  • Good attitude and strong interpersonal skills; will be required to communicate effectively with customers, staff, and management

On-site training is provided. However, applicants who have prior experience with woodworking will be preferred. This is a great chance to learn a career in string instrument repair and restoration with advancement.
