Cassandra Strings guarantees any instrument or bow purchased from our sales department for one year against defects in craftsmanship and materials. Proper instruments set-up, including bridge, soundpost, fingerboard and pegs is guaranteed for one year from the time of purchase. In order to ensure the purchasers complete satisfaction, Cassandra strings will credit or exchange any instruments in original condition towards an instrument of equal or greater value during the first year or purchase, regardless of reason.

Each instrument, bow and case will be marked with a sticker or tag clearly stating the price for that item. Prices are not negotiable.
Prices for instruments and bows are carefully determined based upon the following:
1. Name and reputation of maker
2. Origin- where the item was made {Italy, France, Germany. etc...}
3. Age
4. Condition
5. Overall appearance

News & Events

Cassandra Strings will accept any one instrument in trade at 100% of the original sales price from the original purchaser if the instrument was purchased from Cassandra Strings and provided that:
1. The trade is a similar instrument {i.e. violin to violin}
2. The trade is towards another instrument of equal or greater value
3. The trade has been maintained with a reasonable degree of care and has not sustained serious damage. Instruments in need of repair will be charged accordingly.
4. Receipts of the original sale are provided by the customer

Cassandra Strings offers written appraisals for insurance purposes only. We do not write appraisals for use on sales of instuments. Please call to make an appointment to have your instrument evaluated.

Cassandra Strings accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Cash, and Check. Checks must have both the address and phone number written on it. A $30 fee applies for checks returned unpaid for any reason.

Cassandra Strings does accept consignment instruments and bows. A fair sales price will be agreed upon by the consignee and Cassandra Strings, and a fair listing fee will also be assessed. Cassandra Strings reserves the right to return any unsold instruments or bows at any time to the consignee. Consignment instruments or bows are not available for purchase with any type of credit from Cassandra Strings. If you would like to list an instrument or bow with us, please call to inquire about fees and set up an appointment to have the instrument or bow assessed for sale.

Cassandra Strings offers complimentry one week in home trials of any bow or instrument. A valid Credit Card and Drivers License/State ID is required. Anyone wanting to use this service must be at least 21 years of age. All trials must meet the approval of Cassandra Strings. If the item(s) on trial are not returned within the specified time frame agreed upon, Cassandra Strings reserves the right to charge the credit card on file the full price, regardless of credit situation.
