Ms Elspeth Losch: Elspeth began her teaching career as orchestra director for Lincolnwood District 74, teaching grades 3-8. While raising a family she went on to studio and small group teaching, receiving certificates for pre Twinkle through Suzuki violin book 4, working under Stephanie Preucil. Later she received certification in Kindermusik, an early childhood music program, working with Kindermusik Northwest for 10 years. All along she has maintained a home violin/viola studio and played in numerous area orchestras and small ensembles. More recently she has studied jazz piano, and received endorsements in ESL and Special Education, enhancing her ability to be able to reach a wide ranging population of students. Currently she is a technique teacher on violin and viola for District 211, encompassing Fremd, Palatine, Schaumburg and Hoffman Estates High School, works as a studio teacher at Cassandra Strings and at home, and continues to perform regularly. Her home studio is in Inverness, one block east of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Ms Mary McGinty: Mary graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bacholor of Music Degree in Cello Performance. As a professional symphony player for 12 years in New Mexico, she played with the New Mexico Symphony and worked with a number of professional organizations including Santa Fe Opera and Dallas Ballet, as well as popular artists that passed throught town such as Glen Campbell, Ray Charles, Dolly Parton, etc. She had a string quartet as well with whom she performed at weddings and for other social engagements. She also had her own private teaching studio for many years.
